Most of Brazilian food on the table superstitions originate in Portuguese cuisine . One of the best in the world , and you can take to finish a meal . Nothing better than a " cafezinho " ( little coffee ) or loaded , milk and sugar . The feijoada , a popular dish , named after its main ingredient , black beans . It is a thick plate, and the accompanying lining is made of different parts of the pig , as feet, ears and bacon , and other smoked or salted meat . Generally beans and meat are served separately , and are accompanied by chopped cabbage , rice, fried manioc flour called farofa and fried plantain . This dish comes from the time of the Portuguese colony. It has some similarities with the Portuguese à Cozido .
